n collaboration with Quebec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy (MEIE), Entreprendre ici is pleased to unveil the 50 businesses vying for the prestigious Ethnocultural Diversity Honorarific Grants.
Spread across ten regions of Quebec, these companies stood out from nearly 700 applications.
They operate primarily in the construction, manufacturing, technology, business services, healthcare, and food sectors.
Eligible projects underwent a rigorous selection process conducted by a committee of experts from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR)..
Diversity was a highlight of this edition:
- The finalist business projects are led by entrepreneurs from 24 countries ;
- The finalist entrepreneurs include 24 men and 26 women ;
- 22 companies are based in Montreal, compared to 28 in the regions.
Among the 50 finalist companies:
- 24 are growing, with an annual revenue of over $50,000
- 9 are startups, with an annual revenue of less than $50,000
- 17 are in pre-startup and have not yet begun their business activities
The next steps will include a presentation before a second independent jury, following which 24 recipients will be selected to receive a non-repayable grant of up to $25,000.
Entreprendre ici congratulates all these ambitious project leaders and invites you to the gala evening dedicated to unveiling the winners of this 9th edition, which will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Théâtre Cartier in Montreal.

About the Honor Scholarships
The Honor Scholarships, initiated by Entreprendre ici with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, aim to support entrepreneurs from ethnocultural diversity across Quebec. Since 2018, 196 Honor Scholarships of $25,000 each have been awarded by Entreprendre ici, for a total amount of 4 720 000 $. These are the highest scholarships offered in Quebec to date and a unique opportunity to celebrate the perseverance, innovation, and dynamism of entrepreneurs from ethnocultural diversity, who contribute to the economic growth of Quebec today and tomorrow.
